Morning run

So beautiful out this morning! Couldn't stop running!
Starting out. Love the old oak. If oaks could talk, what would it tell me? I'm thinking tales covering the hundreds of years the tree has lived. The tree likely thinks: could I have some rain please? And while you're at it, please get rid of the woodpecker.
My local Jane Eyre-fantasy begins here every long run.
The fastest stretch. Set to the tunes of Rihanna's Only girl in the world.

Sometimes there are horses to the left.

Waterside running for a more deluxe feeling.
Afterwards, happy, sadly thinking about nothing more interesting than various forms of protein.

Dreams

The other night I dreamed that a full on war had begun in Sweden. Terrified I looked out the window to see hoards of fighter planes swarm the sky. I ran to Anders to ask what was going on.

Anders: It's the technosterone. It was bound to happen. It's so dangerous, all it had to take was too many people joining the technosterone group on Facebook. Now this. And now it's too late to do anything about it. It's awful. AWFUL.

I woke up, so scared. Of technosterone and Facebook.

The stuff I don't buy on etsy II

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BATHING SUIT, ATTITUDE, MODEL AND LOOK! She's got all the flags there for easy reference!
If there were more pics like this in fashion mags, I would even consider buying them.

The stuff I don't buy on etsy

Starting a new label! For all the stuff I don't buy, even if I want to. You could! Like this awesome dress. Look at the garden of Eden print. I imagine this is the exact type of dress I would wear if I was living one of my recurring day dreams - that of being a children's book editor in New York in the 50s. This dress even has pockets! I LOVE IT!

Cat heaven

Dear artist

I see your work right by my city hall. I'm supposed to stop and stare at your work "Little fisher girl". But you know what? that's no little girl. That's a breasty 19-year old with legs slightly apart. So tired of this. So tired of artists renderings of TENDER WOMANHOOD, often in the shape of busty teens with legs spread. Where are all the little approachable 19-year old fisher boys?

I'm no prude. I'm not saying remove it, cover her up. You're just not going to get an applause. AT ALL. My two daughters didn't even react, which is a testimonial to how many naked "girls" there are all over the place, at any given time.

Dear ELLE UK

After having told us for years how to take inches off, loose pounds, loose weight, shed pregnancy pounds, stay skinny, maintain our figures, it feels a bit weird to see that you don't really seem to have a clue yourselves?

working from home

ha ha ha work. but love is grand.

Other kinds of forgotten closet

I know people who pretend they don't even own clothes.

Speaking of clothes swaps

Here's LFTEC friend Rebecka at our latest clothes swap. If you know Swedish, you can read about it here.

thank you!

Thank you for all the jeans buying-advice!
I might still not buy any since Jenny's words about "even just the search for jeans is a soul-sucking enterprise in futility" seem so true to me!

Though I must admit I saw another pair of those wonderful jeans with braided details designed by Chloé, worn by Kate Moss, and what can I tell you? I love them. Love a pair of jeans. It's demeaning. I'm a healthy person with a house and a fine family, shouldn't I do something better with this privileged life than lust for jeans?

But buying this and buying that - I'm short on cash. Also read on various blogs about brands and trends and shopping and in the end it just seems so exhausting, time consuming, consuming and expensive. which are natural feelings to search for if you're broke, surrounded by beautiful things.

So just asking you: are you up for another round of forgotten closet? That would be me showing how one can dress really inexpensively with the help of old purchases, clothing swap trophies and general stress?

Fashion

Acne Hex Straight-Leg Jeans in Lena Wash
I recently returned two pairs of the only kind of jeans I buy (Acne Hep in Lena wash as seen above).
I hate wearing jeans. I took the money and invested in Pilates with Elin instead.
If you know of any COMFORTABLE JEANS please let me know.
I want the feeling of jeans I remember from my teens.
Does that mean I have to go back to levi's? or should one just skip jeans altogether?

Lidingö-intressen

I Millesgårdens butik.

What is this?

Among the possessions left by my father in law, Anders found this. Any of you know what it is? We think it's some king of musical instrument.

Dear James Franco

In Sweden, there's a slightly smaller version of you. Everybody loves him.

question for readers

Reading about Kevin Federline imminent fatherhood: The new addition will join siblings Jayden, 4½, and Preston, 5½, with ex-wife Britney Spears; as well as Kaleb, 6½, and Kori, 8½, with ex-girlfriendShar Jackson.
bara fertil en gång om året?

This makes one wonder: is Kevin fertile only once a year? But then super fertile?

En bra idé

Sadness that won't go away

We lost Anders dad Sven on Wednesday March 30th. We're all so sad. Everything you read here now are attempts at sadness distraction. That's Sven on the right, always a friend to everyone, animals included.

When you're in Stockholm...

Feeling that what you really would love is a quick trip to New York, but that proves impossible - go for second best. Dress in sweater someone else once bought in New York, start the day like some New York women do - with Pilates, then head for your favorite hotel lounge to browse foreign papers.

This any good?

Love Tina, but am asking you: is this good? Is it worth buying?

Dear Gentlewoman

Thankyou for making a magazine that makes the choice between beauty/brains obsolete.
As always impressed and happy about anything Emily King is involved in.

love from a grateful end consumer

If you're feeling down

video
One of the very very few things that really works for me when everything is crap is watching Joel do this.
