Dear Marc Jacobs

Dear Marc, it's been a while, but the other day I saw these shoes and thought of you. I really like them and if I had other feet, another budget and another life, I would definitely buy them.

I kind of feel like this when I see them and hope that would be the reaction I would get from people seeing me wearing them:

dear people who love shoes

I left for four days in Milan with the man I love and packed a few pretty dresses and dreams of going to fancy places but already at the airport I realized these were the only shoes I'd brought. Seems I don't think too much about shoes, but the irony is that if you think so little about shoes as to travel with only the shoes you wear, then you're forced to think about shoes a lot once you arrive at your destination.

Dear wearer of shoes

Warning for mixed up shoes! Warning for missing shoes!
I love this notice. And also wonder why this concept is so complicated to the German mind that it takes twice as many words to describe it.

Dear, beloved, treasured Fiorentini and Baker

Dear, beloved, treasured Fiorentini and Baker, you have made me such a very happy woman.
I have written so much about the trials of my feet, but now, for the first time in AGES I have great news to share with those of you who share my strange fate, that of human beings born with duck feet.

The answer to our prayers is Fiorentini + Baker, Italian boots with style AND room for inserts.
Sure they're expensive, but cheaper than surgery and do not require sick leave.
Halleluja.
Spread the word.

I'm saving up to visit their store in Bologna.
Join me if you can.

Dear beloved clog

Dear beloved clog, see how I so cherished the idea of wearing you that pain or logic couldn't stop me?

I know that clog looks like it's a medieval find from a bog, but it's my shoe. And there are people on facebook naming me among their top fashion friends! The fools!

Feet must be punished.
Prison garb must be donned.

Dear Hasbeens

Dear Hasbeens, are you the answer to my prayers?
Is this my future?

I pray, pray, pray it is.
Will return with report.

Greetings-

Dear Acne

Dear Acne,
once upon a time, a long time ago, I saw the most perfect ankle boots on a pretty blonde (Susanne Dahlqvist if you need to know). I stalked her down and asked where she'd found them. They're Acne, she tells me.

I go to every Acne retailer in town and finally find a pair in my size. They're so hot, I'm drooling.

I pay and drag my prey home to my cave.
Unfortunately, my feet are the shape they are.
My life is challenged by this sad equation of shapes, flesh and bones.

I'm growing up. I realize it's not possible. I'm selling my babies.
And the reason I'm writing you about this is that I suggest you put a warning label on your shoe boxes: Caution! Content may cause lack of judgement. Not suitable for ladies with wide feet.

Here's my boot thinking about a bright future on the foot of another happy lady.

Greetings from
