Not if you plan to actually do a fair amount of writing on it. Unless you have tiny and extremely precise fingertips... I'd get the blackberry.

I have an iPhone and love it for these reasons:
- I can answer any question on the fly. I love search.
- All web pages render (aside from those with Flash, but that should be fixed)
- Easy to use
- Eliminates the need for another device (iPod).
- All three of my email addresses are in separate accounts because they are separate (work, volunteer, personal), but all are easily accessible from the phone.
- Hello Google Maps, goodbye GPS navigator thingy.
- Lots of fun applications.
- Easy emailing of photos.

I dislike it because:
- It sometimes echoes. I can't figure out if it's just mine, or my bf's phone.
- 3G service isn't all that fast.
- Many iPod accessories don't work with it.
- It makes radios and other phones go "bzzz".
- No picture SMS txts (at least on my version).

I feel neutral about:
- The typing. It takes awhile to get used to it, but it's not that bad. The word prediction is fairly good and it "learns" words.

In general, I love it.

RE Casey's comment: none of those things except eliminating the iPod are really unique to the iPhone. I have an LG phone that does almost all of that, and it isn't that great of a phone. And I can still listen to music on my phone. However, I have to say I REALLY hate the virtual keyboards. They are a pain in the butt. If I had it to do over again, I'd definitely get a real key keyboard.
