Will spend my time here. 

Train of thought

Is the weird skin-sealed volcano on my chin the result of smearing my whole face with a thick layer of kids SPF 50?

When will I get a chance to see this? 

Can I afford to go to London while in Stockholm to see this?

Will this be the year I get to travel to Ghent to see Van Eyck's altarpiece?

If so, will I get to go to Bruges on the same trip? Let it be so.

Greetings from Costa Rica

It's been a long winter.

Breaking out of my comfort zone

Recently, a friend asked me to act as photographer at a gathering she was co-arranging. My friend is Angela Tillman Sperandio -  one of the two powerful women behind the fantastic Hall of Femmes-project.

I was so flattered I accepted on the spot.
Only later did I learn that it was a Fashion Photography event and it was to take place at a famous NYC  Photography Gallery called Aperture.

Not the kind of situation where you would feel your most relaxed on your first photography assignment.



But I did it and it went fine. So perhaps will try to break out of the cuddly comfort zone more often.
Here are the pics. I took the majority and another, real live professional photographer took some.

This is what's happening right now in my life:

I'm putting finishing touches to the children's book I'm writing.
(will have author pic taken in next week. this is really happening now)

In ten days, will travel to Costa Rica with Anders and kids. Have never been there, looking forward to warmth, sun, potential turtle spotting.

This is what January felt like: tired, sad, pale, frozen.

Starting over now - more energized and hopeful. Bring it on, 2014!
