Take great care of your new recruit. I can't believe she's over a year, walking, talking, about to have a life of her own, away from us.

Ok new twitter
If you're not Swedish and hate getting Swedish twitter, you can be my friend here instead.

Dear twitter and all people who use twitter
Can I have more than one account? I don't want to disturb non-Swedish readers with Swedish stuff and feel pretentious if I tweet in English only.
Help.
Jag älskar den här bloggen
En del grafiska formgivare är så bra skribenter att de får oss som skriver att känna oss sopiga.

Coat
Thank you so much for suggesting various coats. Jenny sent me this, which I am very tempted to buy.
And Petra gave me pictures of other moms in their favorite coats. Here's another mom of 3 in a mysteriously clean coat. She must have a different kind of kids.

poop doog millionaire.
I saw Slumdog Millionaire the other day. I started watching it with Anders, but he couldn't take it, too much cruelty against children. Since I seem to have no problem watching cruelty against children, I finished the movie on my own. It was ok, I thought. But all those awards?
I liked Bride and Prejudice better. But when I say this to male friends, they shake their heads to show their upset feelings. "No!" they say, "Slumdog Millionaire is...it's the shit!". Then they get all misty eyed and start mumbling about "that girl on the train station".
Congratulations, men! You just got your own Titanic.

Dear coca cola
Ps. This is part of an ad currently running in Sweden. I'll try to snap a picture of the entire ad tomorrow. I was too shocked/disgusted to do so today.

YES YES YES
I can't think of anything more romantic than old cynics getting married, especially when they marry people they've dated since the mid 90's. David Letterman, I love you, but I know you love Regina more. I'd pay to hear your kitchen banter, it's most likely better worded than anything running on TV.
Dear hairdresser.
Dear hairdresser, thank you for helping me out. I mean you, Hasse. Hasse is the kind of hairdresser that requirers planning and fortunes. He's booked months ahead and each appointment with him will cost you appx 100 dollars. But he's worth it.
I'd booked an appoinment back in november. Little did I know then that when time had come to look good above shoulders, I would walk around with 3 simultaneous cold sores. 3. THREE. That's not what I had planned to bring to New York. getting a hair cut while battling cold sores makes you think of the plight of others. Like a hunchback in a ballgown. Touching, but the hunch on your back is still the thing that will give you the most looks, not the silk and bows.
I had an appointment for colouring to. I cancelled it. Nothing makes cold sores more visible than the kind of just dyed Julia Roberts chocolatey golden brown I was planning.
If you have any tips on fighting cold sores, please help.

Spring coat?
I need a new coat. The old one is so worn and covered in pieces of mashed banana it looks like it belongs to a homeless person who loves to roll around in banana pudding. The lining of the coat is so ripped, I have difficulties finding my own arm. On more than one occasion, I have missed the bus because I couldn't get my arm out of the lining to show my commuter card.
I have loved this coat and it shows. Love hurts.
So now I'm looking for a new spring coat. This is a contender. What do you think? A little masculine, a little rain coaty-y. The color is admittedly bla or bland. On the good side, it will probably go with anything. Though mashed banana will hurt it, as all parents know, banana turns into a dark intreatable mass with time. Time being seconds from the moment it lands on your item of clothing.
Would Angelina wear this? Would Chole Sevigny? Eva Mendes? Freida Pinto? They probably all would, with nothing underneath.
There used to be a time when I had Lauryn Hill as my guiding light in style issues.

twitter?
O, so I'm giving it a shot.
Go here and be my friend. I don't have an iPhone and thinks this is almost like trying to get a happy meal at burger king, but like I said, I'm giving it a try.

After
Animal head as seen in the Marlow & daughters butcher shop in Brooklyn. Don't you love the crooked/shy smile? It's like it's saying "you like me now, you should have seen me with the skin still on, babe!"

Back from New York
It was so great! Dinners, lunches, old friends, new friends, unknown friends, Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Met, ICP, Scandinavian Women's dinner, Zabar's.
Took no pics, which I'm sad about now. Trying to console myself with lies/truths like: I lived in the moment.
Finally met Jenny and Lisa who I know from blogging. You never know what things life will bring, so do the cheesy stuff too, like blogging. Greatness will follow.
Religious art
Religious art is often so entertaining. Look at the freaky angels happily collecting the blood of Jesus into their golden drinking vessels.
Friends of mine
I often find friends in unexpected places. Like here - these people share my main interests: babies, books and finger food.

Dear foreign readers
Dear foreign readers, Swedes would like to have you believe we're a vital part of your world. That we've got you down. That you take a walk in your ACNE jeans and H&M shirt down the street to take your Volvo to IKEA before you watch Let the right one in.
It's a really small country, way way up north. It's really dark, it snows a lot and we eat reindeer for dinner. Often.
Now I'm leaving to observe your part of the world.

Wine tasting
Dear Tina, thank you for hosting such a great night of wine and food.
I missed taking pictures of the others. But it was so great. The purpose of the evening was not to learn how a really great wine tastes like, but to find out more about what your personal taste was. To learn more about one's individual taste preferences. We tried 9 different kinds of wine and I found out that I like
There were so many glasses, I almost felt like running away. I break glasses just by looking at them. But miraculously, they all stayed intact.
The company was fantastic. One of my favorite judges was there.
So was her sister, the heart specialist and their cousin, the copywriter.

wine. I'm not picky.
