This brain

I get paid to do three things:
1. Copywriting
2. Writing for newspapers and magazines
3. Translating

I love all three. I really do. The list above also works to show in what order the work is paid. I usually charge copywriting by the hour. Great luck getting paid for the other two by the hour. Even if it's the same brain and the same hours involved in the equation.

Since I've tried both, I'll tell you translating is often just as hard as copywriting, often harder. When I translate, I get so exhausted and hungry and then tired/happy like creature in top pic. It's sad it's paid so little or I'd do it more.

  1. As a translator I couldn't agree with you more on the exhaustion/exhilaration of doing it.

But you undervalue the copywriting. It's really hard to have something to say and say it well, I guess that's why it's better paid.

Bad copywriting never goes under the radar, a bad translation often does.

So many new posts in the last few days, I hope you find this!
