Literally watched "September Issue" on my way home from work. Those are trees in the background. This is the real life of a real woman - we do things like this. Would you ever feature such an unreal thing? I think not.

My eyes bugged OUT when I saw the post title. I didn't know it before but now it is so clear: I have always wanted to know what you would say to her. Well stated, dear.
Then again why should she? She's highly professional. She's selling ad space, making a fortune off women's yearning to escape into daydreams
my life is not really a daydream though it's often great.
As you like to say, we are all in the same boat. She is a product of her environment just like I am and you are. Her behavior is rewarded like a professional athlete. It works for her. And it gets results.
But it would be very interesting to see a piece on what the average Vogue reader does when they get a new issue. Where do they read it? Where do they leave it? What do they spill on the pages? And, of course, what are they wearing at the time?
She is fascinating as a character too. One of those persona that evolved into a caricature of herself. Kind of like Bob Denver. He can only be Gilligan.
