who is selma ?
selma lagerof, the first woman to ever win the mobel prize in literature, read her! did you look at her haircut
i wondered if it was that selma. my mother's currently reading gosta berling's saga. i also wonder: why the hair? did she have lice?
I don't think it was because of lice, more because of wanting to be a grown, independent woman.
Did you see the TV-series about her? I really loved it and it emphasized on exactly what you are writing; the strong independant Selma. I think there is so much to her that we don´t know yet. If she would have lived now, she would probably be Marie Louise Ekman times 100.
grown women get lice, too. but maybe it's the circles i'm running in these days.
And look at the address on the photo! I bike by that everyday. Must check and see what kind of shop is there now...
Sure grown women get lice and they probably did more often back in the 1880's but not many women were fierce enough to chop off their locks. I insist Selma did this because she was strong, not because of yucky parasites.Have not seen any lice references tied to the cut anywhere. I think she wanted to be an equal to men and women in every way she fancied. She set her own standards. And won a nobel prize. Read her.
i have! and i'm only joking about the lice. sheesh.
Personally, have only managed to get lice, no prize so far.
They were Nobel lice though. Dynamite!
also did not catch the joke because lice was my own first thought.
