When my 2-year old says her doll's name is "mama emi" should I be concerned? Is she trying to mother me or simply naming her baby in honour of her mother?

Dear baby psychologists
When my 2-year old says her doll's name is "mama emi" should I be concerned? Is she trying to mother me or simply naming her baby in honour of her mother?

Hi. I hope it doesn't sound too odd but as I looked at this pic I was wondering how did you manage to shape your kids' heads so perfectly, did they sleep only on the sides or what? I've got a 2 months old baby girl and we're trying for the perfect head shape for her...
I've been reading your blogs (this one and the letters to marc) for years. They make my day better.
Georgiana,
copywriter and mom from bucharest.
In the beginning, babies heads often look funny, but after a while it evens out. And if they don't there's always hair! Congratulations on your baby! And thanks for writing!
i think niki merely means to say she will one day tower over you. and yes, she does have a perfectly shaped head.
Kids use their favourite toys as comfort. So, maybe it's like you're always there with her, even though you aren't.
Herregud vilken underbar bild, både visuellt och i känslan
Naming one's child after the grand mother is an old tradition. Niki knows her culture!
I am going to print out this adorable image and it will get me through what looks like it is going to be a terrible day. Your kid has a lot of work to do today Emi.
As long as she is lovingly feeding and caring for the Baby all is well. All is well when she throws her across the room too. And when she leaves it out in a snowbank. Or when she drags it across town naked.
Two year olds name their babies after things that they love. Plus she is imitating your mothering of her, not literally mothering you. Proof positive right before your eyes that you are doing a great job with your kids!
