Dear stress


Lately I've noticed you've been trying to take me into your arms, firmly pressing all life out of me. Well take this stress, I'm not gonna let you.

Though I've had a weird sensation of my brain melting, I'm counter acting your grip by taking the following measures:

  • Switching to decaf.
  • Removing Twitter. For now.
  • Unsubscribing from mail lists.
  • Sleeping.
  • Cooking.
  • Going running later today.
  • Cancelling jobs that are fun but pay little yet demand lots of time.
What you say stress? Feel your grip losening a little?

    detta inlägg räddade min dag idag. Yrkesarbetande frilansare med små barn, ibland förstår jag bara inte hur det är tänkt att man ska fixa det.

  4. I hear you.
    The end of last week brought me the mother of all stress-headaches. All that helped was lying in a dark quiet room for 9 hours.
    Since then, I've decided to turn the computer off at least 1h before going to sleep (to give the brain time to cool down), never to have more than 2 projects runningin the background, and yoga. Definitely yoga.

    Don't give stress a chance!

  7. Det här läste jag när jag skulle göra något annat, men kanske räddade det mig, för nog känns det som om hjärnan smälter av stressen.

    Bättring. Jag ska också sluta med det som du slutat med och börja med det andra. Något måste göras. NU.
