Hat parade
Jeff again
One last thing about Jeff Bridges. Look at him and his wife through the ages. They lucked out! Then if you have the time, you can read his words about her here. And go awww.
Ps. Or eww, as it seems some people will. All depending on your personal understanding of life, love, work, marriages and beyond.
On money - today's outfit.
Living cheap, I'm wearing pants I got for free from a recent clothes swap and vintage blouse from Etsy with print I love because it makes me popular when I go to pick my kids up at daycare. Accessorized with another inspirational work on children's literature from Leonard S Marcus: Funny Business. I love this book.
Is Brad Pitt morphing into Jeff Bridges? I think so!

För svenska läsare
I don't understand it, but I like it.
The poster-like quality of this sign coupled with the message "dyeing with traceable DNA" somehow awakens ones inner Remington Steel. There must be some way to get around this!
It looks like if you steal this money, they will be so hurt that they start to bleed money blood, that has a traceable chemical structure. Moving!
Quote from a running man
Yesterday, we were talking about how it's convenient to run to the place you're going instead of commuting or going by car or bike. Then suddenly I heard Anders say the following words, like words from say, Gandhi, Buddha or any random sage in a Pixar movie:
It's always closer than you think.

This is for you, thank you!
The other day, I tried to look up English equivalent for the Swedish word "tillrättalagd". The online dictionary told me "distorted" was the word I was looking for.
But that's not right, though it is right somehow.
What I mean is a mix between "adjusted" and "fixed to seem more appropriate".
In life, I'm constantly looking for the opposite of this. Not necessarily the awful truth or even the bare truth, but just that moment before we catch ourselves in the mirror and adjust everything. And indeed end up with a distorted version of reality.
Because we're all fucked up.
And because I love you for being here and am so grateful for anyone taking the time to reply to the questions in the previous post, I've decided to share a few of my distorted moments.
The pic in top may seem private and in a way it is. Why is this lady showing off her armpit you wonder.
Here is the improbable answer: She is halfway through her pregnancy and is proudly showing off her bump.
I am serious. That is me 20 weeks pregnant with Vanja, July 16th 2001. July 16 is Anders' birthday and this very day, he could feel her kick. She was born on November 15th that year and it will come as no surprise that yes, she was a small baby.
ps. No, I did not look like that halfway through my two subsequent pregnancies.
Who are you and why are you here? Anne Hathaway naked.
Each day I check my stats and each day, they go down a little. Right now, 235 people check in every day to read LFTEC. There are days when I can't believe so many people come here daily, and even more days when I say to myself "That's not enough! I must blog more interestingly, more engaging, more something I obviously don't know howto do or my stats would be higher".
When I wrote LTMJ I had like 800 unique visitors a day. A number that rose when I blogged a pic of Anne Hathaway in a see-through top.
Perhaps I should do that again. That seems a bit cheap though.
What I really want to know is.
1. Who are you and where are you?
2. Do you come here a lot?
3. For how long have you been coming here?
4. What kind of posts do you like the most?
THANK YOU!

Everytime I shave
Armpits, legs, use your imagination, I think about Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and the constant horror declared on the show for people who SHAVE AGAINST THE GRAIN.
I still don't understand the grain. Or grain directions. These are things I think about in contemporary toy stores.
Ps. Barba Mágica?!?!? Scheerpret??!?!? Rasierspass!?!?! I WANT IT!

If this doesn't make you laugh, you might be made of stone.
Starts out as the Andrews sisters but then turns into the best singing contortionist act I've ever seen.

My life
I understand my perkiness can be hard to deal with. So am thinking I should perhaps add stuff that upsets me. Like how much there is to clean up all the time.
Also, today, am having trouble with piriformis.
There. How does this make you feel?

Lunch with Brita
Grattis Maja och Martin!
So yesterday
So yesterday, my dad calls to tell me "I thought it might be fun for you and the kids to see my colleague hang glide over your house."
We look out the window and sure enough, there's dad's longtime work buddy soaring over our row of suburban houses, comfortable seated in a flying vehicle.
It was just another Wednesday night. And then again, it wasn't.

Cause I trust you
A while ago I read an obit starting like this :
Barbara Holland, a writer whose humorous essays sang the simple pleasures of drinking martinis, cursing and eating fatty foods, and who wrote an evocative best-selling memoir of her childhood and adolescence in the Washington suburbs, died on Sept. 7 at her home in Bluemont, Va. She was 77.
Since reading that; I've been thinking I should read When all the world was young. Did any of you read it? Or anything else by Barbara Holland? Should I?
ps.
I've now read Bossypants and yes, I loved it.

If you have bunions or foot trouble
Get orthotics for your running shoes and start buying your other (orthotic free) shoes from Chie Mihara. The only brand I can wear these days. Not that I complain cause she's a genius!
