On Friday said goodbye to friends in Stockholm.

Ladies, I have THIGHS and I like that I do. But it's often hard to find shorts that cooperate. That's why I'm happy enough about my new shorts to write a whole blog post about them. Now, time to sort laundry.

Kerber on a model and in real life

Went to the Kerber pop-up store and like a child, I put my old clothes in a bag and walked out wearing this blouse. Someone told me that's how you should always shop. If you don't want to put it on right away, perhaps you don't really want it and have better things at home. 

Color is Tiffany blue, a great choice for all of us who will never get or buy anything from there but still associate this particular hue with some kind of...privilege. 

Days of my life

Ok, so on Wednedsay celebrated Rebecka who just released her book. 

Came home to see Niki had prepared for her daycare costume party.

Had breakfast.

Dropped kids off at daycare, worked, went to Kerber pop-up store.

Then ran into super talented photographer Maria, found out SHE*LL BE SPENDING ALL OF JULY IN NEW YORK WITH HER FAMILY. So happy about this.

Today's outfit

I've noticed many bloggers share their style with the world. (have you noticed this too? just kidding)

I think I've previously encouraged you to, like, shoot me of I started posting today's outfits. 

But then I thought: Why be so hard on the blogging community?

I'll join you instead.

This is what I'm wearing today. 

This is what I'm trying to say with about myself through my clothes: 

I'm wearing leopard. Cause I'm a wild animal. But it's also got a pussy bow, which is great cause I've been called a pussy and perhaps that's true. I have no problem with that. Pussies are cute and soft and cuddly. 

I'm also wearing yellow cause yellow is my favorite color. I truly love yellow. It's by Rodebjer and by wearing Rodebjer I think I'm trying to say that I'm not just any old mom, but a contemporary Swedish woman who's interested in fashion but not a slave to it. Rodebjer is always dignified, which I rarely am myself. I try to buy dignity, it's very doubtful that I succeed since very few people at the office where I work today have ever visited a Rodebjer store. My style clues are really wasted on most of these people. Hopefully they're into yellow, though. 

My pants are a little on the short side which seems to be in fashion. I love these pants. I love them because they're so comfy IT*S INSANE. They're byKerber pants and if you're in need of pants, you should get a pair. With these pants I'm also trying to communicate that I appreciate quality, Swedish design and ethical production. Marielle Kerber, the designer, rents a house in Hanoi, Vietnam, where she and her vietnamese friends and co-workers make all the clothes.

Also wearing ACNE jacket that I've had for 9 years. Buy quality, it pays. I'm listening to Promiscuous (does this often come up in spelling bee competitions? don't think so but it should) here and dance with my finger. 

Am I throwing you off? Didn't think so. 

On my feet - Clarks brogues. I don't know what I'm trying to say by wearing them? That I'm not immune to trends but neither am I immune to the necessity of comfort and mobility? Rings true. 

Also, Janelle Monae wears short pants and brogues and what more reason could you ever ask for to wear anything? I LOVE JANELLE.

Glasses were chosen with the help of blog readers around the world and I love them. They're Oliver Peoples which make me feel like I've stolen them from the Oliver People.

I'm new to this. Today's outfitters don't usually babble on like this, do they? They just post a pic and get a zillion comments? 

Also sporting a genuine McKayla expression because what could be more 2012?

Om du läser den här bloggen, och det gör du tydligen, då vet du att jag ÄLSKAR MARIELLE KERBER. Hon gör så fina kläder, i så bra kvalitet att man har dem år efter år efter år. Det är helt magiskt.

Jag har några Marielle-plagg och varje gång jag haft dem på mig får jag frågan var de kommer ifrån (en gång fick jag även frågan vad jag skulle göra senare på kvällen).

(Som ni kan se på bilderna kan man röra sig precis hur mycket man vill i Kerber-plagg. De har inget av den där restriktiva hållningen som jag hatar med många andra kläder.)

Nu vill jag bara sprida att Marielle startat en ny label, byKerber, och kläderna är så fina.
Det finns ingen hemsida uppe, än, men så fort det finns kommer jag lägga adressen här.

Klänningen högst upp har jag själv, ska lägga upp bild tex imorgon så ni kan se att även en helt vanlig o-modellmänniska klär i plaggen.

Breakfast conversation

Me: So what should I wear to the party tonight do you think? This aqua jumpsuit with orange platforms or this 50s dress with red shoes or perhaps this long yellow skirt? Or perhaps this striped pink and white wrap-dress?

Anders: Hmmm. I think you should just let your hair down and it doesn't matter.

Me: Men!!!!

Anders: Yup. We're really that simple.

ps 2. why would I already wear this at breakfast? because I'm a mom! today's logistics involves packing lunch, biking to the pool with kids, perhaps going for a run while there and anders is back from his run, then biking home while anders takes the kids to his mom's then going to the party. this leaves no time in afternoon for trying out clothes. everything needs to be set by 10.30.
