My beer commercial

If I was in charge of making a beer commercial it would feature one tired female.

We hear her stomach growling. She sighs.  Her house is a mess, the kind of mess you have on a daily basis even if you're a tidy person because that's just life when you live with a family. We understand her whole family is sleeping.

She starts to tidy up. Picks up a magazine off the floor. Stomach growls again.

She walks to the fridge, gets a beer out. It's a Corona. Magazine and beer in hand she throws herself down on the couch.

Voice over (don't know if it's a man or woman's voice? Perhaps a plethora of voices?
No, just one voice. Likely a woman's.).

The voice says:

"We don't think it's a great idea to have a beer instead of a meal. But if you do, and we know you do, then at least treat yourself to a great one. Corona."

Ps.
Mom, if you're reading this, I will eat real food too. Just postponing making dinner for myself while thinking of beer and commercials.

Ps 2. Mom, I'm a grrrrrown woman. I can do whatever I like. Getting a second beer now. With some cheese. And saltines. And then some kind of chocolate for dessert.

What were you doing

At this hour:

what were you doing?

I looked out the window, saw this:

So I fried some pancakes for the children

Looked at this little guy:
decided a run and picking up the kids would me feel like him, all warm on the inside.

Geared up:
decided this is my SIGNATURE WEIRD MUSHROOM HEAD STYLE. Went out into the snow. Ran. Got home, showered, took kids to karate, negotiated 500 different things, took a bath, put kids to bed. Feel warm on the inside.
Now bed. Over and out.

Life lately

This week we....

Bought a Christmas tree.

Were told we were ruining the Christmas spirit because of abysmal size of tree.
Caved in. Next year will buy plastic tree, which weirdly seems like a more environmentally friendly option? Is it? Is it not? Thoughts?
Danced at the local pizzeria, after last day of school. Thank you Spotify, for making us able to host a disco through the phone, anywhere, anytime.
Enjoyed Vanja and Ella's birthday party at the local bathhouse. Here, too, disco.

Things that will NEVER be said about me

When the magazine writes me up it will be more like this:

She owns not a single bag, unless you count the plastic kind you get in grocery stores - and only accessorises with an elastic hairband around her wrist (for easy access, especially when riding her 80's bike).

Shoes, though, are her weakness, in the form of comfy worn out running shoes, always with a hole on the right shoe where her independently minded hallux valgus has carved out a little peeping hole for itself. For years, hoards of young women have begun to cut little holes on the insides of their right running shoes as a style tribute to Guner, while eagerly waiting for their own hallux valguses (hallux valgii?) to come in, as the rite of passage into real womanhood this signifies.

ps. Also how can you get away with writing an article where "just two bags - both birkins" is stated as a testament to the owners humble approach to style?

Dear person who owns this car

So, you bought a car. You bought a BIG ASS car. You bought a car so big it dwarfs not only other silly little cars but also boats. So why are people still laughing at you?
Cause you can buy a big car, but a higher power with a sense of humor gave you and 998 other people in this country the kind of license plate you have.

Happy driving!

ps.yes, click on image to see what I'm talking about.

Today's outfit

animator gif
I've been called a fashion blogger which is hilarious. But because this has happened to me, I've decided to share today's outfit with you. How anyone can post a today's outfit with a serious face is BEYOND me. And because I learned to pose in the Footloose era
that's the only kind of pose I know. Kevin Bacon's revealing crotch shot is on the house! You're welcome!

What I'm really trying to say here is that I might post today's outfits here as long as the clothes I wear were almost free of charge since I want to counteract all the pics of expensive clothes on blogs every where.

Today, wearing pants from an outlet (100-kronorsbrallan!) and Anders' old t-shirt that was was tragically/conveniently washed at the wrong temperature, thereby losing all manly style. Not a prob if you're a woman!

Dear weeds

You're so doomed.

Ps. My dad saw top pic and sent me the pic below. Joel is always prepared for whatever. Like my cooking?

Dear readers

I realized I rarely share pictures from my work life with you. So I decided to change that.
Here are two pics from recent assignments.
Just another day at work.

Fashion

Acne Hex Straight-Leg Jeans in Lena Wash
I recently returned two pairs of the only kind of jeans I buy (Acne Hep in Lena wash as seen above).
I hate wearing jeans. I took the money and invested in Pilates with Elin instead.
If you know of any COMFORTABLE JEANS please let me know.
I want the feeling of jeans I remember from my teens.
Does that mean I have to go back to levi's? or should one just skip jeans altogether?

life with kids 2

Joel: What if you were the strongest man in the world, you'd be scared to say a single word?

Me: Why?

Joel: You know, with so much muscle mass in your mouth, it would hurt to speak.

Dear readers - a regular day at the office

Perhaps you wonder what my life is like, besides being with my kids?
Well let me tell you, today I'm having an ordinary day in the office.

I've forgotten about lunch again and need to get something to eat.
It's easy to forget about food when you're writing a folder on constipation and another on diarrhea, like I'm doing today. I'm also about to type an interview I did yesterday, with Hannah Graaf, familiar to all Swedish Readers.

Furthermore; I'm writing a little about a Swedish film production company and translating and proofreading an excellent article on Ruth Ansel.

I love my job. Even those folders. It's fun!

Between work, I will try to read a little in my new books: How to cook a wolf and How I became a famous novelist, both things I would like to be able to tell people myself one day.
