Anders is away
Miss him so much, especially at meal times. Today, served myself the sad remains of a bouillabaisse, after all the fish had been removed by hungry children. Had to complement the meagre soup with 2 nourishing white russians (with ice cubes cunningly replaced with frozen raspberries). Will now go find inspiration in "A tree grows in Brooklyn" which has already given me excellent advice on how to run a household on little more than stale bread.

Dear family
I spent a lot of time yesterday making homemade chocolate icecream. Unfortunately you didn't like it that much.
Anders said: It has a weird burnt taste.
Vanja: I think it's tart. Tart chocolate!
Joel: Why didn't you make strawberry instead?
strangely you agreed on one thing:
All of you: Why did you make so little?

Clubbing at home
Saturday night, hanging out with young people, dancing.
Where are Vanja and Anders you wonder? Vanja's at a sleepover, Anders is watching the chicken. "This is better than watching TV", he says. Then he adds that he regrets not having filmed the 1 hour roasting so he could watch it all over again, later tonight.

Dear Anders

Dear Anders, you're in Sardinia. You take care of our meals at home. When you're goe I eat a whole lot of bananas and hard boiled eggs. How many bananas can you eat in a day without going overboard? I had 3 today, then stopped, only because it seemed a 4th banana might push me over the monkey edge.
I hate eating bananas in public, it's too private. But sometimes hunger forces me to. The other day I met an old colleague on the train.
I didn't see him until he was already staring at me and the banana. I was eating it like I do on the subway, breaking bits off to avoid the worst stares.
But no.
He still had to comment.
Him "That's a very sensual way to eat your banana"
Me "Oh fuck it. I knew you wouldn't just let me eat it."
There is no decent way to eat a banana.

What I'm trying to say here Anders is that I miss you and your cooking.
Also, we're out of bananas.
