You look away for a second

And your 1-year old is snapping highly unflattering pics of herself with the phone.

Dear foreign readers

Dear foreign readers, Swedes would like to have you believe we're a vital part of your world. That we've got you down. That you take a walk in your ACNE jeans and H&M shirt down the street to take your Volvo to IKEA before you watch Let the right one in.

It's a really small country, way way up north. It's really dark, it snows a lot and we eat reindeer for dinner. Often.

Now I'm leaving to observe your part of the world.

Dear child

I wanted to stay in bed too

Just when you thought it was over

Dear Apple

Dear Apple, we've been through this before, but once again, let me thank you for giving me a glimpse of the life my children lead when I'm not around.

The end consumer travels again

Leaving for NYC on Wednesday. Will bring Anders and Niki.

The end consumer advices against - laura mercier

The end consumer is in shock, laura mercier has created a less than perfect product! This cream only makes my skin hurt! Don't buy it! Let your babies eat it.

Wine tasting

Dear Tina, thank you for hosting such a great night of wine and food.

There were so many glasses, I almost felt like running away. I break glasses just by looking at them. But miraculously, they all stayed intact.

The company was fantastic. One of my favorite judges was there.

So was her sister, the heart specialist and their cousin, the copywriter.

I missed taking pictures of the others. But it was so great. The purpose of the evening was not to learn how a really great wine tastes like, but to find out more about what your personal taste was. To learn more about one's individual taste preferences. We tried 9 different kinds of wine and I found out that I like

wine. I'm not picky.

Gymnastic meet

On Saturday, Vanja had her first gymnastics meet.

She told us "everyone who can stand straight will get a medal". I hope the competitiveness will stay at that level for a long long time.

Dear Beauty lovers

Today, the end consumer would like to tip you off! This mascara, YSL effet faux cils, really works. And it doesn't smudge. And it looks deluxe.

See for yourself. I may not afford to dress in YSL, but my eyes can and should! Both of them. Here, only one eye has had a date with the golden wand. All for the sake of comparison.

I also bought Body Shops body butter. It's cheaper than Kiehl's and will have to do until the money starts pouring in like crazy.
Putting this on my heavenly body feels a little like...slathering up with raspberry yogurt.

And this is how that looks and feels. Keep it away from my computer.

But if it gives me skin like this, I'll take it.

Dear lady

Dear lady I don't know,
you pointed out that my child needed a hat in this cold climate.
I responded angrily: "It's a fight I've been fighting for a year, by all means feel free to take it on from here".

I'm not an angry person. I didn't feel better after telling you off. I should have said: I agree.
We could have laughed together, who knows, shared a cup of tea? Perhaps you would have told me stories from your life with your little angry, nosy mouth. It seemed you were no stranger to meddling in other people's business.

I'm sorry. My child's bald head in this wintery scene pains my eyes as well. But she's determined. She HATES HATS.

ps. perhaps you did not see her little red frozen hands? she hates mittens too.

Diapers, party

Usually it starts with a party, then suddenly, you need to buy diapers. My local store knows this and tries to help by putting it all in the same aisle.

Meat (kött) is not far off either. Perhaps it's a primal store? meat. party. babies.
it's all you need.

Heaven to little girls

Monday began with a visit to the ridiculously babyfriendly öppna förskolan.

Then we had lunch with Maja and lovely, lovely metrosexual Axel.

My niece was there

Rut. No jokes, we're Swedish. It's like your Ruth, just one H short. If you don't have a Rut or Ruth in your life, you become Ruthless. That's not a good thing.

My brother is someone else's father

A good one.

Baby it's cold outside
